Frank Van Bree was
asked to assume the presidency of UrbanFUTURE in 2001,
after 18 years in the business world, including owning
and operating MarketForce, a successful marketing consulting
company. He currently oversees UrbanFUTURE's strategic
planning, program development, fundraising and community
and public relations. Frank's previous nonprofit experience
includes working as Director of Programming and eventually
as Chairman of the Hugh O'Brian Youth Foundation, an
organization dedicated to instilling leadership values
in
high school youth. Frank attended Washington University
studying economics and graduated from Webster University
with a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Acting. Recently Frank
chaired the Mayor's Task Force on After School Programming
which produced the ASAP (After School for All Partnership)

Tiffany Hoeckelman is
the Administrator for UrbanFUTURE, managing all day-to-day
activities for the organization. Prior to management,
she had been a Team Leader since 2002 during which
she engineered a very successful 2002-03 school year
with one hundred 6th grade Fanning students participating
in UrbanFUTURE programming. Before coming to UrbanFUTURE,
Tiffany was the Coordinator of Youth Programs at St.
Raphael Church in St. Petersburg, FL. She recruited,
trained, motivated and supervised multiple teams of
volunteer adults in order to provide services to youth
in the community. Tiffany attended Truman State University
and has a BFA in Visual Communications. |

David J.
Carroll joined UrbanFUTURE as the Manager of Volunteer
Services in 2008. David was involved in recruiting for
the corporate staffing industry for nearly ten years
prior to joining UrbanFUTURE. His passion for contributing
to the development of the St. Louis area youth is the
driving force behind his commitment to identify and train
qualified mentors and tutors. David is very active in
the community, he is a past President of the Urban League
Young Professionals, a member of Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity,
a volunteer mentor and a youth sports coach.
David is
a St. Louis native, an honors graduate from Cardinal
Ritter College Preparatory High School and a magna
cum laude graduate from Harris Stowe State University,
earning a degree in Business Administration and Accounting. |

Lauren Coppedge joined
the UrbanFUTURE team in the fall of 2009 as one of the
One on One INSPIRE Program Team Leaders at Mann Elementary.
For the past two years, Lauren has taught fourth and
fifth grades in the St. Louis Public Schools in affiliation
with Teach for America. In the classroom, Lauren helped
her “Academic
All-Stars” grow an average of 1.5 years in reading,
and strove to instill a sense of pride and possibility
in each of her students. Prior to teaching, Lauren
was involved in the Y-Buddies program through the University
YMCA at the University of Minnesota, starting as a “Big
Buddy,” then moving into staff and coordinator
positions. Lauren graduated with a BS in Child Psychology
and a minor in Family Social Science from the University
of Minnesota-Twin Cities. |

Jennifer
Davies joined the UrbanFUTURE team in the winter of 2010
as the IMPACT Program Manager. Prior to joining UrbanFUTURE,
Jennifer educated a diverse student population in two
charter schools providing a nurturing, friendly, safe
atmosphere for urban students to learn and succeed. For
the past five years, Jennifer has taught for Imagine
Schools in the City of St. Louis. Jennifer graduated
with a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology and Sociology from
Maryville University in St. Louis. She is currently working
on her Masters of Arts in Education at Missouri Baptist
University. |

Christy Kleinbeck joined
UrbanFUTURE in the winter of 2008 as the Academy Director
at Fanning Middle School. Christy first began her service
to youth and families in Kansas City at Bethel Neighborhood
Center and El Centro where she worked as a facilitator
and classroom teacher. She ventured to Washington
DC, working as the Program Manger for the Harry S.
Truman Scholarship Foundation, a public service scholarship
for college students. In 2006, Christy returned
home to Missouri to reconnect with family and friends
and support her family's small business as their Business
Manager.
Christy graduated from William Jewell College earning
degrees in Organizational Communications, International
Business and Spanish. At William Jewell she also
participated in the Pryor Leadership Studies Program,
where her team designed a leadership weekend for middle
school youth as a part of their capstone project. |

Steve Miller joined
the UrbanFUTURE team in the summer of 2009 as an INSPIRE Team Leader at Fanning Middle School. Prior to joining
UrbanFUTURE, Steve worked in marketing for an e-commerce
retailer based in Orlando, Florida. While in college,
Steve founded Rollins Relief, an organization that
assisted residents of Hurricane Katrina-affected St.
Bernard Parish, Louisiana. He also served as an intern
at The White House, participated in a goal-setting
and leadership initiative for elementary school students,
and served as a founding member of an after-school
mentoring program. Steve earned a BA in International
Relations from Rollins College. |

Sakinah Ra’uf
joined the UrbanFUTURE team in the fall of 2009
as a One on One INSPIRE Team Leader at Mann Elementary.
Prior to that, she worked as an Instructional Care
Assistant/ Technical Liaison in the St. Louis Public
Schools. In the fall of 2008 she was nominated by her
co-workers for the Pettus Award, a peer selected award
given for teacher excellence. Sakinah also worked as
a director for Giant Campus Cybercamps for 5 years.
She inspired kids and teens with technology while engaging
them in 21st century skills. Sakinah is in her final
semester at Harris Stowe State University where she
plans to receive a BS in Elementary Education. |

Tim Weiss joined the UrbanFUTURE team as a Team Leader for
the One-on-One INSPIRE program at Mann Elementary
in the fall of 2008. Tim first started working with
kids as a youth basketball coach while in high school.
Following college, Tim served for two years with
AmeriCorps St. Louis. During his service with AmeriCorps,
Tim mentored 6th graders at L’Ouverture Middle
School, responded to Hurricane Katrina in Alabama
and Mississippi, and recruited new Members to join
AmeriCorps St. Louis. He has a BA in Political Science
and Legal Studies from the University of Wisconsin
and an MPA in Nonprofit Management from Indiana University. |
