UrbanFUTURE held the organization’s most successful fundraiser to date at the home of local philanthropists Rex and Jeanne Sinquefield, on Wednesday, May 14. During the event, Rex took on four of the top members of UrbanFUTURE’s Academy Chess Team in simultaneous games of chess.

Organization Needs 200 Volunteers for Literacy Program in St. Louis City Schools

ST. LOUIS, MO, June 29, 2007 — This fall, UrbanFUTURE will double the number of St. Louis City middle and elementary students that will participate in its literacy and character development program and Kaldi’s Coffee has stepped up to help recruit 200 volunteer mentors and tutors.

UrbanFUTURE Receives $213,740 in State Tax Credits
Funding Will Support Groundbreaking Literacy Programs in St. Louis Public Schools

ST. LOUIS, MO, March 13, 2007 — Frank Van Bree, president of local literacy and character development provider UrbanFUTURE, has BIG plans for the $213,740 in Missouri state tax credits that Governor Matt Blunt recently approved for any donation that supports his organization.
